Who knew?
How many of us are traumatized children and don't even know?...
Turns out I am, and the ridiculous thing is, I have had a lifetime of health work…
Thankfully, I always had intuitive knowing and was always proved right…
I have mentioned a few books, so I wanted to share my recommended book reading (order) list. These are the UK titles, which I hope can be recognised internationally…

Your Blueprint for Pleasure by Jaiya
I want to share my own personal essential breathing technique, I find most beneficial, and based on both Yoga and science, using a cycle count of 1,2,4,8 (each part doubles the time, in seconds, so about 4 cycles per minute, but what is naturally most comfortable, with relaxed jaw/body). For 1, just a brief pause before, For 2, breathing in (inhale) through the nose, deeply into the belly/pelvis, and not the chest (which is stress breathing). For 4, hold the breath, this is really beneficial for lowering the heart rate (especially when high/stressed). For 8, breathing out slowly (exhale) through the lips as if blowing out a candle. Continue for 5 minutes, to calm triggers etc, and up to 20 minutes if HRV training etc… An alternative exhale (For 8) is to hum a low tone for a shorter duration of 1 to 5 minutes, I often use this before the above breathing technique… A Yoga/Zen addiction is to curl the tongue up to the roof of the mouth, this is actually a reflex in our early development.
Oops... hopefully obviously that was meant to be Addition, without the C. While we are on the subject, addictions are often a coping for trauma (maybe unknowingly). Not just the usually thought of drugs and alcohol, but all sorts of things including harming for an endorphin rush etc. However, of course, these things are only a temporary fix and do not get to the root cause, the trauma.
PS By the way, I am happily Dyslexic... and don't even get me started on the Gift of dyslexia, which is certainly not a Disorder.
@SilverTabbyCat63 many people have childhood trauma and don't realize that.
