I guess most of the time it doesn't bother me much but lately when I'm altered I start talking about it. Maybe I just repressed it? I mean, I got out, had a pretty decent life since. It seems to bother everyone else I knew growing up too.

Child development can be greatly impacted by our environment and thus catch up to us in adulthood.
So, I can certainly see how it may be affecting you now.
