I’m. A. Mess.
I feel as though I AM a TW. I was sent a link to this amazing group of what seems to be brave individuals, and I am very nervous.
I am an unmedicated and untreated 39 yr old woman with ADHD and PTSD. I feel like such a mess right now that I have said in my mind a million times on how I would start this but I am currently unable to process the simplest of thoughts; therefore, I am sure of one thing, this will probably look like a jumbled mess of thoughts.
That being said, I am currently using the app but would like to know the best way to start this process altogether. Are there tips on where I should start? I don’t know really how I am going to approach this process but am willing and open to suggestions.
I am currently awaiting my first appointment with a care provider to get started back on my meds after taking myself off of them 4 yrs ago due to the loss of my insurance and many other things at the time. And so on and so on, sometimes I feel like the list of problems is just an evolving cycle of chaos. Any advice and direction is accepted.
Thank you all for being here. 🤍 Sorry for all of that thought vomit.

Hey PeachKoconut,
I understand being nervous about being on this site/app for the first time. In a group talking about your journey. I understand struggling with ADHD and PTSD. I know it's not easy. I'm sorry to hear that you're an untreated without medication still. I understand feeling like a mess because of what is going on. This doesn't look like jumbled up mess of thoughts. It's you just trying to explain how you feel and not knowing how to word it is okay. This is a long process to road of healing. I know for one fact it will not be an easy journey. I understand waiting to be put back on meds. I'm sorry about what happened 4 years ago and that you had to stop treatment. That must have set you back some. I understand when you have many things going on in your life it can become very overwhelming to deal with. Do you go to therapy? I would suggest to start that again if you stopped. Because with trauma you need to be able to process it and therapy is there to help you with that. I would also suggest some journaling if you don't already do that. It lets you put your thoughts down and can help you let your emotions out. Also with PTSD, I would suggest maybe looking for a support group with people you have been through similar things like you. It could help you feel less alone in your journey. Also just doing things to distract yourself from negative thoughts that you enjoy or that help you feel better. As well as I would suggest grounding for when PTSD makes you anxious. I hope you feel better and that hopefully they will put you on medication that will help you feel better. Please take care of yourself and your mental health it is vital. I hope this message finds you safe and healthy. I hope you know that you're not alone on 7 cups and many of us can relate to how you feel in some way. I would like to thank you for being here. For being brave and courageous enough to reach out to us and start on journey to healing from your trauma. If you need to talk there are listeners willing to do so. Also don't apologize for putting your thoughts down and them not making sense it's okay. Sometimes thoughts don't make sense and writing them down helps at least to get it out of our brain. Your message made complete sense to me. Please take care.
