A small step forward?

Well, today was an...interesting day. My family was yelling (which sometimes is a flashback trigger for me) and we had a snow day, meaning I was stuck inside all day. I felt a little trapped; I just wanted some fresh air. I went out to walk my dogs for a bit. My small step forwards? I was able to work my way out of an anxiety attack before it was full blown. I know it's not big, but at least its something. My question for all the others out there who are sexual assault survivors- is it okay to give a man a hug? Since my assault, I've not been able to hug guys a lot, and I want to. How do I remind myself that this person is not my assaliant, and I am okay?

thanks, all the love xx

@ashes04 That's awesome and I think that's a BIG step forward. For the other thing, you should never do anything (especially physically) that you are uncomfortable doing. We all heal in our own time-frame and in our own way.
