@Laura Coping with trauma is very unique to everyone who has experienced some form of trauma. Much can depend on what support someone may have, has the traumatic event been a one off event or something experienced multiple times. Trauma can range from being a victim of an assault, a burgarly, bullying, abuse, natural disasters, bereavement, combat stress and trauma etc. PTSD and complex PTSD can cause multiple issues in day to day life for someone. Its important I believe for those who have had traumatic experiences to get the support they need to deal with the impact of that trauma on someones life. The sooner the better for many people go through life being affected in so many ways with little to no support or who try and cope alone for years, only then to realise they need a bit more support than they can give themselves.
