Wandering alone, scared to meet anyone's eyes. Would I find kindness if I did look? Disgust? Pity?

Curling up alone in bed missing you.

Another lonely morning, writing without you by my side. I want to see you again but I can't.

I am a lonely twig, lost in a dark and lonely sea

Will I sink too deep before they find me?
Can I cling to the surface and simply be?
Wandering alone's not the same as being free

Tilt, drip, drop
Make. it. stop.

Maybe we'll find the pieces of me
Washing up in the debris
Collect every piece from the sea
Until we're finally free

I've roamed far and wide
Endless space inside
Pulled along the tide
Help me please I've tried

To open up but I end up alone
Inside this time less zone
And I go and zone
Out, losing sense of tone

Scribble with your pot of ink,
Please float don't sink
I know you're on the brink
But Hope's closer than you think

Land ho, we cry
No land you sigh
Go on, we'll try
To keep our head above water

Sink or swim
Write on a whim
Is it me or him
Writing the story inside here?

Walking down the lonely hall,

I came upon a cracked mirror,

in which I saw them all,

and for them I shed a tear.

How could we find home,

When we never lived there,

I asked this in a poem,

Laying my whole heart bare.

Perhaps home is within us,

As we wander the empty earth,

No one here, it's just us,

But we keep a well lit hearth.

Hold on to hope, you'll find your way.

The way is less of a straight line from point A to point B, and more of a rough topography full of rocks, mountains and valleys. But you'll find your way.

I know you are a fighter, you've faced death and survived many times. You'll find your way.

This empty space, where you used to be, it aches.

My other half, gone. A gaping hole, unfillable. I saw you for a moment, out of the corner of my eye, but you left.

Why didn't you take me with you? Why couldn't we leave at the same time? Will I ever feel whole without you?

Slowly, I forget. A heavy sigh without direction. Where am I? Who am I? What is home?

That ache remembers you. Connected at the veins, sharing the same heart and brain, sighing in unison.

A lonely sigh searching for a companion.

I don't know if anyone will stay long enough for me to connect like that again. I miss you.
