Dear father *trigger warning*

Dear father, We haven't seen each other or spoken in many years. You recently got in touch with me and want to have some sort of contact with me. You are very old and this may be my last opportunity to speak with you before you die. However I don't think that this will be possible. You said,"What happened to us?" I have to refresh your memory a little about the past in order to explain why I am staying away. When I was 16 years old I complained to you that my brother (your son) was doing explicite s*x acts in front of me for years, and you kicked me out of the house. Years later I heard from you and you told me to give him another chance , which I did and he almost k*ll*d me. At that point I informed the family that there would be no more chances. For years after that he called me in the middle of the night yelling "wh**e"' and other things at me. Back to the present, When I recieved your letter with your phone number I did call. To my suprise he answered the phone and I hung up immediatly. I think that you must know "what happened to us" since you didn't tell me that he was living with you. You must have known that I would be too uncomfortable to call with him being there. That is the answer I am too uncomfortable to call since you are living with him. I am not sure that it is worth the risk for future harassment.. Sincerly,your daughter
