Feeling let down at work

I work in a university setting in addition to earning my bachelor's degree in psychology but because I have an invisible disability, autism to be exact, my colleagues can't see the activity going on in my brain. At present, I have been battling with depression due to one situation after another that has seemed to pile up along with feeling angry that I am not where I want to be career-wise. Because of this, I have been feeling frustrated and angry with my colleagues, next to bringing my problems to work, my quality of work has been going down. So my colleagues are holding me back even more and it's incredibly embarrassing and depressing.

@Summershy

You study psychology, so you of all people must know that you need to open up and possibly seek professioal help either medically or therapy.

It may help to simply tell your friends so they can help you out instead of making things harder for you. (I mean, they might not even know they are making things harder for you)

Careers are fickle things, we don't always end up where we want how fast we want. Thats just life and how jobs work. Its a grind and some times it pays off qiuickly and other times, it doesn't.

Good luck.

@exampligratia I am seeking professional help at the moment which I have been doing for a month now and I am pretty happy with her.
