First Responder, Bad call
I'm an Advanced EMT in TN. I've seen some shitty things, but this was the worst. We got a call Saturday night for a man that had been run over by a train. He was decapitated and his head was busted open. You could see his brain. His bones were exposed on his arm and leg. It was horrible. I know it's part of the job, but it's sticking with me. It was so gruesome. I'm new to the job so I am still learning how to deal with shitty calls..

Hi there. I am sorry for that man and I am sorry for your experience. It sounds as a very distressing situation. I witnessed strangers dying twice in my life and it has had some impact on me. It is very important to find a way to process your experience, to understand exactly which emotions and thoughts it has brought up to the surface for you. Can you see them?
@considerateBirch3683 I am shocked that you are not offered professional debriefing as part of the job.
