I just can't do it anymore

I don't even know where to start I am a mother of 4, 3 of which are adults now, and I am married to a wonderful man who is gone all the time because he is a truck driver. I didn't have a great childhood, my parents were very abusive and I was sexually abused when I was little by a babysitterat the bowling alley where my parents would bowl once a week. I never told anyone about it until a few years ago, I told my husband. It felt good to finally get it off my chest. I thought I could continue on with my life and leave the bad stuff behind me, but then a couple of months ago we found out my little brother has been molesting his son. My brother is in his mid 30's but he has a mental disability so he will never progress past the age of 9. The same day we found out about this my son came out and told me that when he was little, my brother molested him as well. This has been absolutely devastating! I am starting to go through menopause and all of this on top of it has just been too much for me to deal with. I don't have insurance so I can't go see a therapist. I have so many bad things going through my head all the time and I don't know what to do or where to turn. So I found this site and thought I would start here. I try talking to my husband and he just brushes me off and tells me to knock it off and things will get better. I have tried telling him this is too much, I can't do it anymore, and he he gets mad. If I can't talk to him, who can I talk to? I am so lost, I wish I knew what to do and how to get back to being happy.

@julz66911, your story sounds somewhat familiar to me. I too have had a lot of bad things happen to me. One thing i had happen was to be sexually molested as a kid but by my dad. I had to go to a counselor a couple of months ago after the latest thing and was diagnosed with depression, ptsd, grief, as well as a couple of other things i dont remember. I was online looking for depression resources asnd found this place. It has helped me out a lot!!! go to browse listeners and talk to these people. They have some great people to talk to. Oh yeah, my wife told me to smile, snap out of it, and i hope she(my counselor) gets you straightened out soon. I think people who havent been in our shoes dont know what it really is like. Keep coming on here and use this site, i know its helped me!!

I know you can do this because you are the rock. You have been able to cope with what you have gone through for so long, and have been able to have a beautiful family, and you have been a warrior and a mother, a lover and a love for so long, that now it's time for you to be the rock for your son and your nephew. It's time for you to change that experience you had from a negative experience to an experience that you've been able to live through and move on, and now you are gonna show and teach these children how to move on and give them the comfort and support to keep on going, because you did it and you are doing it! It's time for you to turn from victim to victor and hero, not only for these kids, but for yourself. And I KNOW you can do it , because you've been doing it all these years girl, and you've done an amazing job holding it together for this long. YOU CAN DO IT!
