When I was 15 I was in a relationship with a 20 year old. I felt like I was in love. When my parents found out they made me go to the police and go on video telling my story. Everyone told me the relationship wasnt real. An AVO was put on him on behalf of the police but I was in love so I continued seeing him until one day we got found out and I had to go to court. He was sent to 14 months jail and I felt empty. I felt alone in the world as he was the only one I felt like I trusted in the world. I blamed myself. At such a young age it was really hard to wrap my head around everything, Im now 17 and I still dont see how I was groomed in the past. It felt normal. My sexual abuse councillor stopped seeing me as she gave up on trying to convince me I was a victim of sexual assault because in my eyes I said yes and I was in love. Thats my traumatic experience that Im still loosing sleep over.

It's tough when people try to write over your own emotions or way you are seeing the world. Trauma is often caused by someone taking your power and control away. It sounds like you were in a situation by through the legal system, your parents, and your counselors, that they are all trying to force you to think a certain way or feel a certain way. I don't know enough about the situation to impose my own views on what happened to you, so I'll just say that I'm sorry you went through this and I hope that over time things start to feel better for you
