Revealed trauma and feel horrible
I had my 4th therapy session and I finally told this therapist what was actually wrong. She seemed shocked and horrified and just said tell me more what he did and who did this after I said (a man) she wanted specifics, wanted to know where him and my mother live, list goes on and on. I only told her mild details and this was when I was little (I am 30). I felt better but immediately regretted it and now worry she is going to tell cps or something. I literally can't feel my arms I just feel so regretful and untrusting of her and dirty. Do you think she will tell? Can I trust her? Should I never tell her any more?
@ambitiousCucumber7004 Whether she tells anyone at all depends on legal and professional regulations that differ from place to place.
I think the best way to find out whether she's going to share the information is probably to contact her or her office and ask straight out what the rules are. She should normally have told you in advance what her policy is, before asking you for specifics.
If you are no longer in any danger from the man, then it would make no sense for her to tell anyone unless she is forced to by some local regulation.

I too believe that the best thing would be talking to her, telling her you don't want anyone else to know. I think she pushed you a little too far asking for derails you weren't fully ready to open up about. Sometimes it happens I regret things I said in therapy, but not that strongly. Be mindful that you need your time to open up bit by bit, and you have all the right to wait, to say "I'm not ready to tell yet". It can be hard to tell if you're pushing yourself too far, I know. It was brave from you speak up.
Oh, and you're not dirty. You're not to blame. What the abuser chose to do doesn't make you a different person. He left you awful feelings to deal with, and I'm so sorry for that. He didn't have the right to. But the only one who he really could rot and break is himself. Because he will always be guilty for what he did. And you are not. You are worthy. You are valuable. You are innocent. You are deserving of happiness and love. You should feel light and free every day. And you are enough just as you are.
