Terrifying experience when i was 9 years old
Before i tell the story I want to make sure everyone knows that i am 25 years old now and I was NOT raped when this happened.
When I was about 9 years old I was at my neighbors house(a friend of my mom's) and her bf and his friend was over. Well his friend(he was in his late 20's) and I was alone in the neighbors house. I was playing with some stickers and he started putting them all over my body. Afterwards he took my legs over my head and sat on my butt. He was laughing and I was screaming and I crying. When he got up I ran up stairs and luckily the door was open so I ran out the door and he was laughing.
I am not sure if this is considered sexual abuse or child molestation or what to call it. I do not know this man's name, and I was 9 when it happened so I could't report it. I just need closure and I am not sure how to get it.

Whatever label you feel fits this experience in my opinion doesn't really matter, rather than labels acknowledging what you went through was a traumatic and violating experience. as children we all deserve to be safe and protected and should never ever be treated In a way that violates our personal space and damages our innocence. Talking and sharing this experience is the first step to recovery, I can only imagine the deep rooted feelings this memory conjures up for you but it is no way your fault and any shame or blame does not lie with you. imagine you were talking to that 9 year old now and think of all the compassionand eempathy you would gi her - now allow yourself to give yourselfthat same llove and compassion. You deserved far better and as an adult you can give yourself better. Reach out to others and take one step at a time. Take care of you
