I'm honestly scared to get this off my chest, but better now than never.

So, I've been living under the same roof as my older brother for a long time now. My older brother was prone to angry outbursts, often throwing things and breaking them, screaming at me and the rest of my family, etc. One day when I was in about fourth or fifth grade, my older brother had convinced me to play a game with him. I'm not going to go into detail, but I remember crying afterwards. That was the last time he had tried anything until I was in eighth grade (so about four years ago now, as I'm in twelfth grade currently). I had been sitting in my bed, playing on my phone, when he came into my room. He started badgering me about having sex, claiming that he was h***y and that "it was just a t*t, let me touch it". I was frozen as he tried to touch me, but I managed to snap out of it and screamed for him to get out. He cursed at me before he left, threatening to tell our parents everything. He's finally moved out about a month ago, but I'm still shaken up about everything. I'm trying to move forward, but it's been very difficult.

@misswhatzittooyah Have you told your parents or a family member? You have to tell someone. When I was a teenager, don't exactly remember how old, but my little brother crawled into bed with me one night spontaneously. I told my mom right away and he was put into a group home. He has ADHD/Autism but that is no excuse. Eventually they let him move back home. When I was 20 or 21, I was taking a shower and my brother came in there looking possessed! He was also naked. I called the police that night. They took him to some treatment center until they could find another group home. I love my little brother, but you don't do that kind of stuff to your own sister! Idc if you have ADHD/Autism. That's not normal. So, what you are describing is not right either. You need to tell someone asap. It will bother you for a long time and come back to haunt you at my age, 33 yrs old, if you don't do anything about it. Don't feel guilty or scared either. He had no right doing or saying those things.

@TransAm85 I've been wanting to tell someone about it for a long time now. I've always been scared that he'd come back and find me if I reported it, or that my family would shun me instead of him. He'd always put on a happy face for his friends and other people, but as soon as he got home things turned for the worse. I wouldn't be surprised if nobody really believed me.

@misswhatzittooyah

There is no excuse for violence or even the threat of violence . Someone can have mental or neurological problems but this doesnt give him any excuse to be agressive violent and threatening .I guess he must also have a huge sense of entitlement and doesnt take no for an answer. You dont deserve to be treated this way . No one deserves to be treated this way . You dont deserve to live a life in fear. He has serious issues .Let people know about your worries. Have you talked with a lawyer maybe get restraining order ? I know the trauma with living with someone so abusive and out of control. It hurts so much but please trust me it will heal i have been through in with a relative. You are a survivor and extremely brave to actualy reaching out and talking about it. Please remember dont allow anyone to treat you this way even if its familly.

@misswhatzittooyah If you think your family will not believe you, that is their problem. At first, my mother was skeptical b/c she feels so bad for my brother since he has ADHD/Autism, but .. why would a person make these things up? Have you ever watched Oprah? I know you're young and maybe don't follow older people, but Oprah was raped by a relative when she was young. It causes trauma and worse if you do nothing about it. I totally understand your fears, but you will feel a lot better when you report this. He needs serious help.
