Worst day of my life💔😭
I'm having a very hard time getting passed this. I lost my granfather back in Novermeber. I know you are probably thinking I should be over it but I'm not and it gets worse everyday. He was my best friend, and my whole world. I loved him more than I loved anyone. I miss him like crazy. I can't get over seeing him die though. I had to sit there and watch him get worse and worse. It was the worse exsperienxe of my life. How do you sit there and watch your whole world just die. I wish I could of taken the pain away. I held his hand for the last time and just cried. All I do is cry. He eventually never knew I was there bc he was no longer responding. Then the phone call came. I watched him take his last breath. Worse day of my life
Hey friend,
I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your best friend. Death is a really hard experience to go through and unfortunately I cannot tell you that each death gets easier because it will always be hard. That being said, anyone who tells you it's time to be over it has no idea what they're talking about. This is YOUR relationship with your uncle. Not theirs, not any one elses. YOURS. Only YOU can decide when you are ready to accept what has happened and find a way to store it in your heart.
Ultimately, it is best towardsremembering him fondly, wishing that he was there with you, but smilingwhen you think of him; rather than hurt. When you can work through your feelings and your pain and begin to move forward again, only then is it time to "be over it." It will take a while to get there and a lot of hard work, but you will if you want to. I'm happy to talk to you about it anytime you need a friend.
Stay strong.
poop. sorry. I mean grandfater. sorry!
It is very difficult to lose someone you love, and I am so sorry for your loss. I imagine it musthave been so painfulwatching his health deteriorate and being there in his final moments. It is okay to take your time to grieve - he was your closest family member, best friend, and someone you trusted a lot, and there is no shame in showing your love for him by missing him. What kinds of things do you do to remember him and your special relationship?
I try so hard to Remember the little things he did for me. I try to remember all of our great times. But everytime I think of him... All I see is him laying in that hospital dying and it brings me to tears everytime. Why does that picture the only one that comes to mind? I just want to forgot that but it won't get out of my head:(
I suppose that is the moment in your relationship that has affected you the most - because it was the most emotional and painful. That makes sense, and I am sorry that you have to go through this hurt.
I guess meant the question more in terms of, do you do anything in particular to celebrate his life? Here?s a resource that I?m personally finding helpful - you don?t have to go through all of the days, but if you feel up for it, it offers a lot of suggestions as to different ways of finding healing after a loss.
First let me say I am so sorry for your loss, and it looks like you've gotten help already :D. I'm a Listener here on 7 Cups, and would love to listen. Time doesn't have a end, and while I can't nessicarily give direct advise I'd like to give you tips.
Don't worry about how much time overcoming takes.
Focus on positve thoughts instead of Negative ones.
A. Do you have a favorite trip you two took?
B. Did he have a favorite Pass Time?
Do somthing so positive it chages the negitive one you hold on to. Please don't misunderstand, you have every right to feel as you do. I am just saying if you take small steps towards a positive goal, and you will begin to reach for a longer goal.
I hope I've helped. Please know none of us think you are crazy. We all have our own ways of coping. :D
Hope To Listen!
