@imsorryitry If you're honest about what you remember, and any doubts you may have about it, and your fears, then that's all they could ask for. We know people's memories can be foggy (especially with trauma), and that's not a crime. You wouldn't go to jail if you thought you were telling the truth. It probably won't be as bad as you think smiley just stay honest with them and it's their job to do the rest with what info you give them :) And they certainly wouldn't make you face your abuser.

p.s. lie detector tests are not reliable and are the results of them are typically not admissable in court, you couldn't go to jail over simply that if it actually came to it (which I'm sure it wouldn't, that seems like a ridiculous thing to do in abuse case).

@imsorryitry There's nothing to take out on yourself, you've done absolutely nothing wrong. You should be proud of yourself for standing up against the abuser, it takes a lot of strength and courage to do that, but you did. If someone doesn't believe you, that's their problem, that means they are not very kind or compassionate people. It doesn't say anything about you. I hope that they believe you too, it never feels nice to be brave and then have someone not believe you. You definitely deserve to be believed, and you've done nothing wrong. It's okay to cry when you're worried or scared, but I hope you can have some compassion for yourself. You're a strong person and this abuse was not your fault. You deserve love and kindness heart
