Always the same dream

My boyfriend cheated on me 2 years ago and tried his best to get back together with me, be a better person and it's going well. But I know that I'm still not over it, I still have trust issues and I ALWAYS dream of him cheating on me over and over again or wanting to cheat on me and saying it openly. It's always that dream, but different story. He's always cheating on me in my dreams, everytime I dream, it happens. It starts with a normal dream and ends with him cheating on me or wanting to. Then I wake up and try to remember the good things, how it's all better now. It feels like my dreams try to remind me all the time of how hurt I was and that it can always happen again, so I shouldn't trust or fully commit to loving him.

@indigoOrange9898 I'm sorry to hear about your experience, I can understand your thoughts and dreams, because once people are hurt, there will be shadows, so you don't have to stress too much, because this is a normal and natural process, it may take time , I think you still have a feeling of distrust of him in your heart. If this is the case, it will be very unfavorable for your future life. I don't think you need to continue to be with him, because once there is a crisis of trust, it will be difficult to To believe in a person, you should look forward, the world has a lot of good food, you will meet better people, there is no need to waste time on a person who has cheated on you

I'm sorry to hear about your experience but Isn't trust the most basic foundation for two people to be together? If betrayal can't let you leave him, I believe you will only be in a state of entanglement. If he really changed, I hope you can open your heart to explain this situation to him, I believe it will help you in your current situation. It's really hard to build trust again, but if your boyfriend really changes, I don't think it will be difficult for you. Living in the past will only make you more broken, what you have to do now is to face and overcome difficulties. I'm sure your boyfriend won't let you down.

Hi! I've read your post and I could know that you are a kind girl. From your description of your dream, I felt terrible and kind of scared. If I were you, I would have gone mad and tried to remove the man from my mind. The dream has tortured you for so long and I think you should realize that dreams come from your deep mind. It is actually your fear, you are afraid of him, afraid that he would cheat on you again. It is reasonable to suspect that! Because we always know a person who cheats will cheat again. He does not deserve your trust. And a weakly bonded and untrustful relationship will end definitely. From my point of view, if you break up with him, you would feel relief and get rid of the terrible nightmare. Hope you have good luck and find a man who really loves you soon!

It sounds like those nightmares and your inner fears to suffer again (which are reasonable) are causing you a lot of emotional pain and distress.

The main question that a few other posters here have raised as well is, is this relationship worth to you going through this suffering?

One can perfectly imagine that it could happen, that the perfect partner might be someone with whom in the past things didn't go well and has deeply hurt us. And with the right circumstances it might be worth going through this. The question will still reside : then how to work together toward healing?

It sounds to me like you genuinely need support right now to help you navigate this and find if this relationship is right for you, and if it is, how to work toward you regaining a peaceful state of mind.
