Exhaustion and PTSd
I've been recently diagnosed with PTSD following abuse as a child. I'm a mum of two young kids who now both sleep through the night (mostly)
im at a loss on the exhaustion front. What is PTSD, versus normal parenting tiredness? I don't feel I understand normal anymore.

I can't help you on the parenting front, but I was also recently diagnosed with PTSD from childhood abuse. It may be a mixture of my depression as well, but I feel extremely tired all the time, despite the fact that I sleep at least 8 hours a night. I think of it as my brain working overtime right now. It's dealing with a lot mentally and emotionally and that's tiring! It may take some time but hopefully we will both start to feel better. If it's really hindering your everyday life, then you should talk to a doctor about it, they may be able to help you.

Thanks for sharing what's going on and your need to sort things out. I'm glad you posted! In my opinion both parenting and PTSD an cause the exhaustion and not feeling normal at times. Without being too graphic so as not to trigger others, what kind of symptoms do you have that you might think are PTSD, vs what you might think is parenting? Any ideas?
