Human Trafficking
Hey, all. Human trafficking, I've noticed, is becoming a larger and larger issue. I encourage all to spread awareness of it. Hopefully, have a forum thread or community on this topic. Thank you all! :)

Thank you for shedding light on this topic. I will see what I can dig up.
I was watching one of those shows, the other day, where they were trying to scare the kids from their bad ways to try and keep them out of jail. This episode was in Atlanta, I think, and they said it was a major spot for human trafficking. I guess this is more of a major problem than they let on. You dont really hear a lot about these things. This, along with the problems we hear about here, need to be brought more into the light. Good subject to discuss.

I only just found this now, oh goodness! I admittedly don't know much about human trafficking, but I really want to commit to learning more about it so I can better support people who are affected by this, because from what I have read of this, I can tell that it's a tragedy. I guess I'm posting this so that someone can hold me accountable to that!
@RebeccaEmily
Great idea. Thank you for taking an interest. Here's a link to my resource list where you can gain better insight to the needs of these individuals. Enjoy your stay.
@RebeccaEmily
It is indeeda large issue, only becoming larger as time goes on. The resource list is very helpful, along with a TED Talk regarding human trafficking. I'll try to find the link soon.
@Emily619
Loovveee TedTalks. :-D
Hey! Moved this thread under Don't Be Silent in the Sexual Assault and Abuse Support category. Hopefully this will help raise awareness since additional resources isn't really looked at that often
Bout time someone hit a topic that is far past due to shed light on. Been a victim and survivor for over 20yrs. There are not enough support groups. And really I just want to not feel alone in this life. Prostitution is something I struggle with. A product of my mother at 18. My mental health has been affected by the stigma and lack of resources available to get out and stay out.

I agree it really is and I truly do feel sorry and bad for all the victims of it around the world. I hope that everyone's doing ok and staying safe.
