Ok so this is my true story (TW)

I was born into a christian cult, they were a big cult own several places around America. Luckily the part I was born in was one of their smaller places. Ok so tw. Babies born in to the cult were sold or kept for slaves. I was a slave, for 18 years. Until the law stepped in and a rescue mission saved me and a few others. I was born healthy. But because of my owners. My spine is broken and not completely fixable. So after the rescue. My legs became dead weights and they had to amputate them. Also cut off half my fingers.I'm safe now 22 years old and bring looked after really well. But recent news, I was told two of the others who I was rescued with. have been found by the cult. They are both in heaven now. New security has been put in place here at the care home. But I can't help feeling terrified right now. Will this ever end

I will suggest an application called Noonlight- If you are feeling unsafe in a situation, you can hold down a button on your phone and the moment you release it- you will have the option to either indicate that you're safe or send your exact location to police, fire, and EMS (emergency services).

Of course, I hope you never have to use it seriously, but I hope you can add some trusted people to your network, and at the very least- rest assured that there is a method to get help and feel safe in the moment.

I am so very sorry this happened to you, and I'm sorry about what happened to the two others who were rescued with you. It's a shame they are allowed to get away with this. I don't know how you feel, but I do know that if you take things one step at a time it will get better.
