Ok so this is my true story (TW)

I was born into a christian cult, they were a big cult own several places around America. Luckily the part I was born in was one of their smaller places. Ok so tw. Babies born in to the cult were sold or kept for slaves. I was a slave, for 18 years. Until the law stepped in and a rescue mission saved me and a few others. I was born healthy. But because of my owners. My spine is broken and not completely fixable. So after the rescue. My legs became dead weights and they had to amputate them. Also cut off half my fingers.I'm safe now 22 years old and bring looked after really well. But recent news, I was told two of the others who I was rescued with. have been found by the cult. They are both in heaven now. New security has been put in place here at the care home. But I can't help feeling terrified right now. Will this ever end

May they rest in peace and may their loved ones and friends find healing. I can't understand the pain you must feel after hearing this news... but please know that I will be praying for you and praying that God keep you safe from the enemy and all those who wish do harm. Even after being away and safe... hearing the news of your peers passing away must've affected you so much :'( I just wish I could hug and hug you for long. I hope that it's going to be okay and you're safe. You have more love in your heart than most of the people I've met. You have my full support for speaking out ... maybe we can do a few things to mobilize a higher sense of public morality in this land, expose these abuses and get such religious groups criminalized in the US and not have them protected in the name of religious freedom.
How can they even be considered christians at this day and age maintaining slavery among their ranks?

Presumably you will not post the name of this cult for security reasons...if so, I totally understand. I only ask because there have been several Xtian cults (& perhaps churches on the edge of being cultlike), so I don't know which one you were born & raised in. Cults are examples of why lately I've reconsidered whether freedom of belief, First Amendment-style, is as much as blessing as we think it is.

As you said, there are more security guards around the care home. They won't let just anyone in. You should be okay.
