PTSD pain and physical pain
I am so tired of dealing with pain . The mental anguish of CPTSD is torture to my emotional state. On top of my huge trauma background I have a seriously painful ailment that has been tormenting me for over 6 years. I'm at a breaking point. I cannot sleep. I don't take pain meds or sleep meds. I feel like I'm being pushed to the brink of my ability to handle this misery . I've been going to therapy and physical therapy for years. I just cannot find relief from pain and I'm so sick of all of it. That doesn't include all the money I've spent trying to heal.....money I don't have. I'm on a fixed income because I cannot work. Seriously is this living??? .....no it's not. It's existing in suffering on so many levels and I'm exhausted. I'm not a young person and I just don't want to do this anymore. I'm sick of faking it for my family, the ones I still have. I have so much grief for all the things and people I've lost . I can't stop crying. A girl can only take so much. I just want my pain to stop . Even if it stopped for a little while. I know I'm not a bad person but I feel like I'm being punished. My trauma started really young at 2 yrs old.
I'm so sorry for the rant but I have no where else to release these feelings.

Hey I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. Trauma can be really painful and take a huge toll on you. I feel you're trying hard and that matters. Please find joy in your resilience and efforts. Know that we all have a purpose and you're doing yours. Life can feel very overwhelming at times but there are also lighter moments of relief. Without misery how would we ever know the taste of joy. Try to accept what you don't understand and be easy on yourself. Continue to share your feelings. Sending you love.
If all that I can tell you is that I get it. I understand you. I am going through something so similar. I am sorry that you have to go through this. Please see what a warrior you are. Keep your eyes open for other opportunities to heal. Maybe try a spiritual approach if you haven’t already.
Hello, BlackBerry,
My heart goes out to you. I could have written this myself. I, too, live with ptsd and chronic pain. Hurting everyday in more way than one will definitely show you what you’re made of. I often miss my old life that was so full of travel and experiences. Coping with the loss of that has caused me sadness, along with the grief of losing loved ones in a disordered and untimely fashion. Unfortunately, I have found that trauma compounds itself and worsens over time, especially when left untreated.
Are you opposed to medication?
Thank you for putting words to what this feels like. Hope today is better for you. 💕
ABSOLUTELY NO MORE PAIN!
Hi, there. I can't imagine what you're going through. I didn't know I had PTSD my whole life until my 40s. Of course, it always comes with its awesome minions - depression, anxiety, pain, and other neurological stuff.
I've had severe upper back pain for years, and they ran all the tests, but no source. I tried acupressure, chiropractic, meditation, got/ cold, etc. I tried the pain meds, and they only worked for 20 minutes. I just had to live with it and manage.
Last year, I read about depression and motivation, how it's related to low dopamine levels. I knew that, but I didn't know that dopamine is a motivation hormone and also signals non- threatening pain to subside. L-theanine is an amino acid, precursor to dopamine. I tried it, and ABSOLUTELY NO MORE PAIN! What a godsend! It also helps me to be a little more productive.
You can research and see how it works for you. I hope your pain is history soon.
Thank you , all of you for being so supportive. I'm open to suggestions. I do take antidepressants and some muscle relaxers when needed. They don't give pain meds that could create a new problem - addiction. I was on benzos for anxiety for awhile but I gave those up. Anyway I will try the L- theanine route. I had read some info about that.
I appreciate such amazing accounts similar to my own. You all are so beautiful thank you.

Hello again, Blackberry,
It is uncanny how we hold memories in our physical being. The body does indeed keep scope. I have heard that physical activity or even movement can help release trauma, stress, and anxiety in the body. Have you ever tried this? I know yoga has only served me. ❤️
@blitheSun94
Yes my therapist recommended excercise and I've been steadily going to the gym. 4-5 days a week.
I didn't realize L theanine was high in green tea but I drink a lot of green tea because I like it.
Thanks for supporting me. It's so appreciated.

I’m so glad to hear that, BlackBerry! Thanks for being here and sharing your story. I know it certainly helps. ♥️
@amiableBlackberry92 😢😢 I'm at breaking point too. 😢 I feel your pain the torture we still suffer. I'm so sorry berry ❤ I wish the suffering would end for us
@Tinywhisper11
Lola, I'm so sorry you suffer too. Know that your not alone in all this. You are so brave and strong. We can do this together with such great support from 7 cups. Sometimes I read my favorite self help book to inspire and distract me. " The voice of Knowledge" by Don Miguel Ruiz.
Yesterday was a challenging day for me. Shame and guilt creep in through triggers I don't expect . I say to myself- tomorrow will be different, better, just hang on.
You have my support always
