@AutisticYouth I understand how you feel brother. The society does demand a lot from us. And when we do provide, it's like, that's why you exist. You did nothing exceptional. It is expected of you. So the next time I go answer an SOS call, it's gonna be men and children first. #savemen.

@AutisticYouth. Some people still believe that men are “the provider” but not everyone. I think this idea has been slowly changing fortunately.

It's incredibly tough to navigate life with chronic depression and PTSD, especially without a support system. It's understandable that hearing societal expectations around gender roles can trigger frustration and feelings of suffocation, especially when it feels like an added burden on top of everything else you're dealing with. It's important to recognize that societal expectations can be limiting and unfair, and it's okay to challenge them. You're not alone in feeling this way, and it's not a reflection of your worth or abilities as a person. Remember to prioritize self-care and seek support when you need it, whether through therapy, support groups, or reaching out to trusted friends or loved ones. You deserve understanding and compassion, and it's okay to advocate for your own well-being. Take care of yourself, and know that you're not alone on this journey.

I am sorry that you feel this way. I know you may not feel like it but you are doing such an incredible job by saying you are struggling. But you are not alone. Society demands too much from us and tries to take alot from us. But we are only human. Men should not be the provider alone, not in this day and age, it should be a joint responsibility. You are trying the best you can even with your depression and PTSD. You can only do as much as you can do not over push yourself. You know your limits.
