Abused as a child

My father had pornography hidden (not very well and lots of it) in his closet and I was in it to my elbows from the age of four. I was later molested by a relatives neighbor at the age of 6 or 7. I perpetrated sexual actions on my younger siblings and a few cousins for a short in a play sort of way, i was just a child. I am 35 now and just finally realized the extent of my actions. I don't think anyone else knows. I told my therapists. I'm reaching out to an in person support group in my area because I'm just numb about it and my therapist says numb is a feeling but that feels like a cop out, cheap. I must wear my shame right?! What am I to do next?

Thank you for finding this community and posting for support. The sad thing about children who experience abuse is that they tend to perpetuate it in some form. You were a child. You feel remorse now. You do not have to walk around with the shame. It sounds like you understand that what you did at the thing was wrong and you won't ever do that again. I am glad to hear that you are seeking the help of a therapist. What do they say about your feelings of shame?
