Could this be considered sexual assault?

so me & my partner had sex a few days ago everything was perfect but then he got a bit rough/went deeper. It hurted a lot so I put my hands on his chest and pushed him a little and told him to slow down , and he did for a moment , but then he got back rough, I said his name this time, & told him to be gentle cause it hurts, and he pinned my arms down tightly, told me I'll be okay and to take it . After it was over, i had this intense cramp so he gave me meds and we cuddled .

I just feel a little weird and wanted some advice, it's not rape but is it considered sexual assualt or just maybe bad communication/horrible listening skills?

@chicgirly

I think it wouldn't necessarily be sexual assault because in the beginning it was consentual sex BUT with that said your boyfriend should have stopped or slowed down entirely after you telling him so. He should have respected your wishes and cared for you enough to see that you were in pain or wanted him to take things slower. I think something like this you should 100% talk to him about because if he really cared about you then he needs to know what he did wrong and not do it again. I hope you're okay and be strong to speak up about it!
