I don't know if it's sexual harassment ...
So this thing happened to me when I was 6years old so I went to a resturant with my father for having dinner with some other family members ... So I was wearing a dress it had zip in the back the uncle who was one of my family relative was abit drunk ( I don't remember about his state) ... But he was constantly trying to pull my zip down ... A little but I was trying to pull it up back ... I was annoyed by it and started crying... And after going home my father slapped me ...for coming to that resturant ...
Hey👋 I'm sorry to hear what happened to you. I guess I I in the same situation. My uncle said a few things that made me feel extremely uncomfortable and sort of exposed. When this happened, I linked it back and it made me realized all the times he would touch me inappropriately and I would always make excuses because we were so close. However now I'm so confused. I don't know if you can even call something like that sexual harassment because I felt maybe I let it happen. But I didn't even know. I was unaware. And once he said certain things to me, he made me seem like a whore. Like i was dirty.. and I thought maybe that was what he though of me. Maybe that's why he thought he could do the things he did.
@plumPapaya5566 Hello, I understand you thought you let it happen but know that this is not the case at all. Predators know how to disarm their targets and make them feel at fault. You are beautiful as you are and you are none of what he made you think you are. Thank you for your courage in sharing your story and for empathizing with another survivor. <3
@Meridith06 Hello, thank you for having the strength to talk about this here. Yes, you are right, this is sexual harassment. I am very sorry for what you went through and for the way your father treated you. I know what it's like to not have support and to doubt yourself in such a situation. I want you to know that you are not alone and I am here for you in any way you might need. You are not at fault for this at all. You are not responsible for his actions. You are amazing for going through what you did and for having the courage to talk about it.
