I'm being blamed for being raped
So I was talking to this guy (Let's call him Alex- Not using real names) and we were getting close. We both liked each other. We weren't getting together due to some cirumstances.
So anyway, I met with my friend Gerard. We had been friends for a while. In the past we joked about hooking up but we didn't. This was also before I was close with Alex (He is 17. I am 15) I went for a walk after school with Gerard. We went to the valley and sat in the engine houses. Gerard started kissing me. I was okay with that. But then he started getting really sexual towards me. I felt a bit awkward but carried on. But then he asked me to have sex with him and I said no. Then he kept kissing me and asking me and I said no again. He asked and I told him I didn't take my pill so I was scared of being pregnant. He kept asking. Everntually I did say yes as I felt pressured and I could tell he was getting annoyed. It didn't hurt but I didn't really want to have sex because I liked Alex.
I told Alex about it. He said I could've stopped it. He told me I should've told someone and why did i have sex. Alex and I were not together and I doubted we would get together. But he is blaming me now for what happened. I've been feeling so bad and so dirty about this. I hate myself. I've lost Alex. What do I do?
@FrerardTrash I am so sorry this happened to you, I know it can be really hard trying to tell someone you really care about what happened and things, and that took a lot of courage. Rape is never your fault. Although I cannot give any advice, I can ask what do you think will be the best solution and outcome you think can happen, and how will you get there?
It can be difficult to go through something as tough as this, not just being sexually assaulted, but being blamed and losing your close friend. The first step of growing stronger was sharing what happened to you. Like Dillion said, it takes a lot of courage. I'm really sorry that this occurred, and wish I could be there to comfort you and tell you everything is okay. You are so beautiful and don't deserve to be treated that way at all. If i were in your shoes, I would distance myself away from people who don't make me feel happy and wanted --but I'm not and you are the best judge on you. We are always here for you at 7 Cups, and if you want to talk about it more; me, Dillion, and other listeners are here for you.
