Rough sex gone too far?

So last night I visited my friend who I used to work with. He made me an edible which he said was extra strong and we smoked. We have a lot of sexual history so it wasnt anything when we started having sex. Hes always been rough and Ive always enjoyed it except a few times but it was bc he kept slapping me too hard. I live with my mom so he knows no visible bruises. Anyways last night during sex he was choking me, which was fine, but then he started using both hands and strangled me. I couldnt talk, let alone breathe. I tried pushing him off but hes like a big man.I fought until I passed out. I saw nothing but white and swore I died. I woke back up to him still penetrating me. I was so dizzy and lightheaded from suffocating and the edible. Like I felt myself coming in and out of consciousness. He bruised my face pretty bad which I told him before about. Im just super in shock bc I really thought I was gonna die last night but I dont feel comfortable talking to anyone about this. I dont know if this was a form of rape or just an assault bc I definitely wasnt cool with being strangled to death. And Im pretty sure he took the condom off during sex too. I acted like everything was cool after but my throat is still sore.
