Struggling and need to talk
I really want to talk to someone about what happened to me. I find it really difficult to speak, or even think, about it. Can someone who has also experienced this message me? I just don't want to feel so alone in all of this
You're right—you shouldn't have to feel alone after what has happened to you, and you need to be able to talk with someone who will be patient as you struggle to focus your thoughts and find the words to express them. I hope you can find a listener here who will allow you to do that, and who will understand. I don't know whether you will feel I'm the right listener or not. Have a look at my profile and see what you think. If you'd like to chat and see how it goes, send me a message.

I feel like this may be my last hope, I am currently unemployed and have no health coverage to seek a therapist but am in desperate need of help. My current break up has triggered my anxiety and depression. When I was 14 I was raped by my boyfriend's older brother and from that moment my life has been a constant storm of mistrust and feeling like I am never doing really understand love. Now at 31 I have had 4 major relationships in my life and each one has ended in heartbreak; lied to, cheated on, betrayed and used. The last relationship was a product of my own insecurities as I didn't know how to communicate with him and there was no intimacy. I still live with him and everyday I fee like I am forcing myself to be happy just to try and preserve what little mental stability I may have.
@Dommie26 My heart hurts for you. Perhaps there are free support groups in your area? I would try calling any local university's counseling and psychological services department and explain that although you aren't a student, you are a person in need of mental health referrals. I've done this for a friend in Boston and my alma matar does this all the time. You may not have the strength now to leave your current situation, but that's okay. We're all doing the best we can with what we know and where we're at. Accepting yourself where you are in the moment is the first step towards your life worth living, so to speak. It sounds like you need a lot of self-love and self-care. This can be as simple as taking a long bath, carving in an extra hour of sleep, making yourself a special breakfast, going on a walk in a park and taking in the beauty around you. All of this is free and can elevate your mood and sense of self. Sending love
@catlover98 you're welcome to message me. Maybe we can help each other, I need to talk about it too. Sending love and support
