To young to be absolutely sure about what happend
Anyone who has felt this? I have images of some events, mainly emotions. The way I would feel, the shame and the manipulation that they made me feel. Of feeling guilty. But I was so young when it all happened. And I've spent all my life trying to forget and pretend nothing had happened and to have to deal naturally with the people who abused me. Because they are family! And I could not ever tell! Especially to my parents. That's what they made me feel. Now I don't know what to do. I'm not absolutely sure about the events, I was around 4/5 and I'm afraid that everything was made up by me. But at the same time I now it happens and the relationship I still have with those ones are to weird to be normal... this is just such a mess. Anyone??

It's normal for you to want to forget and sometimes the brain will subconsciously remove the memory entirely until something triggers it. A 4/5 year old doesn't have the comprehension or knowledge of sexual assault to be able to make it up so it's very likely that your emotions and your memories are genuine and what you experienced did indeed happen, which I'm sorry to hear about. Hopefully you can come to terms with it and know that you're not lying to yourself!
