I was raped by my father when I was three years old until I was eight years old. He did it almost every night. I have PTSD from it. And I'm scared just thinking about it. I hold a lot of emotions in about this issue. I'm not sure how to let it out or feel comfortable enough to let it out.

@loloD hi, Im sorry about what happened to you, and I believe unfortunately your new guy may be out of the question. But you can still move on yourself and when you find someone who you feel a connection to, you should open up to them and tell them why you are afraid of getting serious or opening up. Once they understand you, they can better support you.

thanks for sharing your story, I can relate a lot to you. My ex partner sexually abusive and also very good at gaslighting me so I believed it was normal behavior. Events have triggered memories of just how bad it was and Im just seeing it clearly for the first time. It has been really humbling working through trauma that I repressed for so long. Best of luck on your journey. You deserve to feel safe, secure, respected and loved in a relationship
