i've suspected i was abused for as long as i can remember, i have a memory of it but i've convinced myself i created it out of jealousy or wishful thinking or something. the problem is i do have loads of symptoms of childhood abuse but i was also emotionally abused by a parent. i've convinced myself that i created this memory of csa to deal with the emotional abuse i faced all of my childhood. from what i can guess my severe flashbacks are from when i was emotionally abused but i can't be sure, i just feel like i made up the csa because i don't have flashbacks

I am very sorry for all you went through as a child.

All those things that you mention are most probably symptoms of the trauma caused by being abused as a child in any way or the other.

You will probably never know the exact truth, as the trauma clouds detailed memories.

I would suggest that you find a good therapist through trusted sources, like your doctor, friends, or a post-graduate psychology institution in your area, and start doing Therapy.

I hope you feel better soon.

@anonymous444111 I hear you. And I'm sorry. I was groomed when I was 9 by a male teacher.. For a long long time (mainly bc no one believed me or cared) I convinced myself I shouldn't be so affected. And sometimes I feel like I'm making it all up. But I'm not. And you're not. Whether or not it's exactly what you think it is, your body isn't lying to you. Please get a trauma-specialized therapist. There are ways you can explore those fogged memories. You aren't crazy. I pray you find peace..

@anonymous444111 I'm so sorry. Childhood abuse can be terrible to deal with, when it happens you don't have the instruments to process it and deal with what's going on, and the consequences stay with you years later. It's normal to be confused, frustrated and even doubt your own perceptions. If you have the means to go through therapy, you might want to give it a try and see if it can help you retrieve and process your memories. Whatever happens, remember none of this was your fault, you always just did your best to survive, and you deserve to finally find some peace.
