Persistent Bullying

August 14th, 2017

With the experience of bullying, one may find that bullying incidents are persistent in nature. This can be an especially challenging type of a situation. One must know that he or she never deserved any type of bullying, or mistreatment from others, in the first place. It does not matter what reason he or she is being bullied for, nobody deserves to be hurt by anyone else.

When someone bullies a victim, they are purposefully choosing to engage in that hurtful action towards another. Therefore, it is not a problem with the victim. The victim did nothing to warrant that type of negative behaviour directed towards themselves. Even if a victim has a characteristic or characteristics which are not experienced by a vast majority of people, it does not matter. Everyone is different, and the traits and situation which a person is faced with, are traits and situations which many individuals all over the world do cope with.

Nobody should need to feel any shame or to feel badly, as a result of someone else trying to bring them down. There is nothing wrong with you, and there is nothing wrong with being 'different.' In an entire world of billions of individuals, you will find an extremely diverse group of people. No one person is better than the other.

Has anyone here experienced persistent bullying? What did you do about it?

@ASilentObserver

Yes - it is posted in the Bullying Support Main Forum, and this Trauma Support for Bullying section, in case a person visits one section looking for bullying support, and not the other
