I’m adding a taglist to start, but this post is open to absolutely everyone! <3
Ooo! I haven't watch this in years! Oh, how I need to go back to it. Thank you for sharing, I would've never known. Should I watch the older movies before watching the new ones? I don't remember what happens.
I’ve just barely started the new one, and as far as I can tell so far, it seems to completely mirror the original. I’d watch the originals first :)
Okay, I'll have to do that then. Thank you!
@jesusredeemedme2425 enjoy 😁 saw a cool theory once about Astrid's character design through the parts as related to healthy relationship 😊
Explain?
Did you see the live action version? Is it really a mirror image of the original? Because I’m not impressed if it is lol
@jesusredeemedme2425 I'm boycotting all remakes, lives, and part 2,3...100000s by default if it was not just LOTR/Harry potter sort of length caused split lol so absolutely no idea
But it was a video about how her design is developing with her as a character. That she starts as this tough girl, very action and fight focused. But then as the parts goes by and she builds a healthy relationship with Hiccup, she starts to accept her feminine side and leans into it (for example having more flowy and relaxed hairstyle and less tough outfit choices) what was extremely cool to see laid out in the video as I saw like first 2-3 parts I think.
It’s a shot by shot remake. Like, EXACTLY the same with very few exceptions that I can tell. Which… actually makes it boring. Lol
@jesusredeemedme2425 Disney never learns, do they
But they know that we’re still gonna watch it anyway. ;)
It’s Dreamworks, btw. ;)
@jesusredeemedme2425 brainrot is contagious 😭
Hehe. At least Disney tried with the originality. Lol
@jesusredeemedme2425 I can't even remember tbh what's the last original thing they did lol. Encanto was probably last good thing I remember. I think they made wish too but I heard very bad reviews on it. Also I have a major problem with all their main character being the same personality wise for a while now and it's just getting annoying. Because we all love a clumsy high energy character but if it's all we get it stops being cool. There are so many more personalities and preferences they could show, just like with the old princesses. And it would be cool to see something else again
I never fully watched Frozen, but I love how they broke tradition with, “You can’t marry a man you just met!” <3
@jesusredeemedme2425 yep, that was a peak moment lol but Kristoff is awesome and I'm glad Ana got him in the end. Also, did you know there are theories Hans was the personification of the mirror from the original story, mirroring back emotions of others and only showing his true self when he saw his own reflection in the glass?
