Haha I agree! Books that were based on movies tend to be worse, for example, the official Disney book for the movie Frozen. Movie is better!

I almost always think the original is better, and as a book lover, yes it pains me to say this... The Princess Bride movie is better than the book. The dialog in the movie just *works*, a lot of the phrases from the book were polished and tightened to perfection.
If anyone out there is equally obsessed, check out the book about the making of the movie. It's awesome
