Movies which pass the Bechdel Test
Hi everyone, I am learning more about realistic representation of people in movies and I came across the Bechdel test. Intrigued ro know about this concept. For ppl like me who were unaware:
It is a super simple threshold with 3 minimum requirements:
Does the movie have 2 named female characters?
Do they talk with each other?
Do they talk about something other than a man?
I was surprised to realise not many movies pass this simple test! And end up reducing women to side characters with no personality as a norm.
Do any of you have recommendations for movies which pass the Bechdel test?

I know right! I was surprised myself! Movies have so much impact on everyone & yet the responsibility they take isn't proportional to their power always. And knowing about good benchmarks (like the bechdel test) helps to unveil our own internalised patriarchy !

the BARBIE movie passes the test!

Yay! I didn't know but I hoped so! Barbie is my favorite - and this movie did a great job showing real women's stories! So glad <3
