You don’t have to wait until things feel “bad enough” to talk about them

Sometimes we convince ourselves that what we’re going through isn’t serious enough to share.

“Other people have it worse.”
“I should be able to handle this.”
“I don’t want to burden anyone.”

But needing support doesn’t mean you’re weak, and you don’t have to reach a breaking point before allowing yourself to talk.

Sometimes simply putting into words what has been sitting in your mind can make things feel a little less heavy.

If something has been weighing on you lately, what makes it difficult for you to talk about it?

There are so many reasons people wait to get support. Excuses, pride, shame, fear of the unknown to name a few.

We have to learn from these errors or face it reoccurring.

Thanks for sharing.  🌲

Thank you for sharing your perspective! I agree that pride, shame, and fear of the unknown can make it difficult for people to reach out. Sometimes recognizing those barriers is already an important step toward allowing ourselves to seek support when we need it. 🌱
