Yes, what surprised me, was I never realised how much I do alone and don't ask for help. I learnt its ok to be vulnerable, to need help, and to paddle at your own speed. In this life we all require different levels of assistance, and that's totally fine 💚🤗

I've waited to my day off to recap and respond.
After the first 2 stages it is the Acceptance and Commitment point that you are not your thoughts or feelings that you experience them as they are fleeting and will pass that has resonated with me most.
Since joining Cups i have noticed myself being a little more mindful and not as reactive in daily interactions, being active and having to type responses in the forums is certainly contributing to this as well. Being a little impulsive and quick thinking I type and talk quickly, prone to typos and hit send to quickly as mind racing ahead, typos are embarrassing so mindfully trying to slow...
@RunningMachine
That’s such a great reflection. It’s a huge shift when you stop fighting your thoughts and start seeing them as things that just drift by. It takes a lot of pressure off when you realize you don't have to "be" everything you feel, so to speak.
Also really cool that being active in the forums is helping you in real life! I totally get the struggle with typing too fast and hitting send before you’re ready. It’s actually a great way to do mindfulness in a practical way. Slowing down to check for typos is basically just training your brain to stay in the moment instead of racing ahead. Keep at it!

I'm trying LOL

A few years back I spent a few years working on a 24 hr railway emergency line, mixture of mainly phone calls, emails and for the last couple of years web chats and SM added to. Every interaction was monitored, tone, empathy, listening skills, accuracy were all monitored. I wasn't too bad, it was certainly a balance of pace and accuracy without the benefit of spell check, fortunately there was a library of responses we could select.
