CHARGED FOR TRIAL EVEN THOUGH I WAS PROMISED I WOULDN'T BE _ ANXIETY OVERLOAD
Me: I came on this site for help with my anxiety. I tried the 3 day free trial, and I have just been charged for it after less than 2 days. I can't afford this and my anxiety is overwhelming right now. What should I do?
7 CUPS:
Thank you for reaching out to us. We appreciate it. Your card has not been charged. We had many people signing up that had no intention of paying us later when payment was required. As you can understand, this wasnt great for therapists as they expected payment. We now pre-authorize all cards. Per our terms, when you start a new subscription, your card is authorized for the amount of the first payment at the time of signup and we release that authorization after we verify that the funds exist. Some banks may show this as a charge in your register, **but it is not**. Your bank should reflect that those funds are released as soon as they can, however, some banks take longer than others. At this time, you do not have an active subscription. So, you will not be charged. The 7 Cups Team

Hey there @plumTriangle710!
I'm sorry to hear that this has happened to you!
You could try contacting 7 Cups again, and see what they say. If the charge does not go away after a week or so, you could try contacting your bank and disputing the charges.
I hope that this situation is resolved soon!
Take care!

@BrooklynM How can the charge 'go away' if the money has already been taken? It isn't a pending charge like 7 cups said. They have taken the money from the account.
I only have a
@plumTriangle710
Again, I'm sorry and I have never heard of this happening before. You really should contact your bank and see if there's anything that they can do. Also, contacting 7 Cups once more, even possibly calling them to get a supervisor to help you.
@plumTriangle710
You were charged because you used 7 Cups after the free trial and did not cancel. We reviewed your case and you were granted a full refund. A receipt of your refund was sent by our billing site. **Please keep in mind the refund will show up between _5 to 10 business days_ after your refund has been processed.**
I emailed them twice saying I cancelled before the trial was up. They continue to blame me for this instead of accepting it's a bug in their system. Horrific customer service and no apology, refund in 10 days. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THERAPIST SERVICE.
@plumTriangle710
It is always important to read T&Cs before paying out for an online service. I am not very familiar with the service, but I believe they take money out as a pending transaction and if you don't cancel after three days, it will then be taken out of your account. I hope you eventually receive your refund.
So 7 cup it's just a scamm after all, that's not amuzing.
@plumTriangle710 the transaction is first "Allowed" before to be "charged", but on those credit cards history, it doesnt show the difference. It may trigger your anxiety for sure and be very confusing! But if you cancelled it within the 3 days, then it will dispear from your credit card history within 2-3 more open days and will definitly NOT be charged.
