Totally needed this today. I have definitely became a more aware and genuinely empathetic person through doing and going through all the "wrong" things. My broken heart translated into a better personality and able to deal with setbacks better and stronger than I used to. My soul isn't completely changed yet in my opinion but it's getting there.
