Drowning in Feelings.

I find that when I don't feel like everything is right in my world.  Things between me an other people are not at the level it should be, I start to feel bad.  Often times I will lay in bed, and feel like I'm getting too hot and can't sleep. Another issue I feel is my IBS acting up.  And often times my joints start hurting too.  I also got bad allergies, that plug up my nose.  That makes it hard for me to do relaxation meditations.  Because all of them tell me to breath in deep and let it out slowly.

Lately I've been feeling troubled over my sex drive.  I'm 45 years old, an in next May I will be 46.  I'm a guy and I don't feel my sex drive as often as I did a year ago.  It has been gradually declining. I hope this is normal for someone of my age.  Cause it could be a sign of something else going wrong with me.  I know it can be a sign of depression, and I have been very sad.  Sad about how I can't make good solid connections with people around me.  And how I can't make solid connections with people online either.  I've been at this for so many years, I feel burned out.

Hi, I have a close friend that has been going through some concerning changes in his desires ect. and he is considering going to the doctor and having testosterone therapy. But for now he is taking some type of Testosterone booster (over the counter). Worrying just makes matters worse! Self Care has improved my life a great deal.

Blessings, Day

@juliak1968  I may need to say something to the doctor the next time I see him.

Many times our brains chemistry is lacking either endorphins, or serotonin (Both are responsible for rewards signals and happiness), My meds I take helped me a great deal along with therapy and my daily use of 7Cups, I am doing so much better, and for over a year now with just a few bumps in the road as far as my being triggered by various people, sounds, or places, but my therapy helped me with that a lot already. Go ahead and make the doctor appointment and be honest with the Dr. I wrote some things down and some notes and handed it to the dr. initially and it got me pointed in the right direction along with a couple of inpatient stays at the hospital 4-5 years ago. But work it and be honest and open to new ways of thinking along with medication that supports your mood so your perception stays on a positive note through the counseling. I am still in therapy every other Wed., and every Thurs. and I am very lucky to have 2 of the best therapists anyone could hope for!~

You'll get there my friend!!, and your look back and say "Day was right, I did get better" I was reluctant at first and had to get out of my own way but once I did that and showed appreciation for the help I was being given, it filled a void in my life and has helped me to heal. Truly Heal!

Tag me any time!

Blessings, Day

@juliak1968  My doctor has been offering me anti depressants for years.  I've been avoiding them because they would be an extra pill I got to take.  Also my parents take issue with that as well.  But I think the next time I go back, I might take him up on that offer.

I'm proud of you, I remember it wasn't an easy desicion for me to make either. I'm glad I did the combination of Meds + Therapy + 7Cups = Healed :-)

From what I can gather you seem to be dealing with lots of stress. You mentioned being sad about lack of connection with others and how that's making you feel fatigued. You mentioned you may be depressed, you could also potentially be experiencing anxiety brought on by stress. Anxiety isn’t just in ones head. It can also create physical symptoms and discomfort i.e. give you an upset stomach etc. The impact on your health seems concerning and you definitely shouldn’t have to deal with that day in day out. Are you getting regular medical/health checks from a GP?
