How to deal with family members. It should be taught in schools how to take overcontrol of family.

What worked personally for me is to love them, but love them from a distance. I nurtured the relationships that felt beneficial while putting some distance between the ones that are not. I didn't disown any family members but limited frequent contact while filling in the gaps with the family and friends that provided more productive support.

Everyone is different though, and I'm not in your shoes so hopefully there's something you can take from this

It should indeed be thought in school. I'm sorry if you are going through something like that.

Yes this definitely must be taught in schools in addition to many other necessary skills that need to be taught. I 100% firmly agree. If I was in charge and was teaching in schools I’d certainly be teaching necessary skills such as how to deal with family members.

Hello GlobalArtist, pleased to make your acquaintance. How are you today?
I hear what you're saying - coping with "family" is always, in my humble opinion, much more difficult than dealing with strangers, believe me, I know.

I had a family once, and I have another one (different) now. Each time has brought its own unique challenges. Can I help with your question/problem do you think?

In whatever small way I may be able to I am ready and willing.
Well met,
D.

Hi @globalartist
I know it can be really hard. What has worked for me is to maintain boundaries and love them from afar. Keeping myself on priority list has really helped. Also, sending you a virtual hug <3vFZaTlhd.gif
