Looks beautiful, happy mid-autumn day to you too! 🍁🍁🌸
There are also other kinds of mooncake stuff, like honey with fragrans, corns with oat, purple sweet potatos with yolk with dried meat floss, taro with peanuts, marinate beef, chocolate with red bean paste, cherry with pineapple, cheese with oranges, cream with papaya, mashed lotus seeds with matcha, nuts and so on.
For those who can't read Chinese: the left column from the first row to the last row: orange with tangerine, corn with oat, milky coconut with pineapple, and the right column: taro with peanut, orange peel with red bean, cream with papaya.
@Nightfrost Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! I love trying different mooncakes. The ones in the picture look amazing. I saw on your profile that you're from Fujian. My family is also from there!
The celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival is coming to an end, with the kinds of mooncakes being sold in our canteen getting fewer, and with the discount becoming from 20% to 50%. I tasted most kinds. At first I found them delicate, sweet and appealing. However, gradually I felt as if my palate was getting bored of the cloying and sugary taste of the dense and viscid stuffing. I swallowed the excessively luscious paste wrapped in the thin soft crust and felt it going through my throat, only leaving too thick sweetness lingering.
