Hey, I'm Tay and this is why I am here x
Hey 👋🏻
First time posting here. Not really sure what to expect. I just needed to vent about my situation a little and this seemed like a safe space 😅
Bit of backstory - My boyfriend of 6 years recently cheated. We are still together and I quickly forgave his infidelity towards me. He confessed and came clean about his cheating which was huge for me.
He got physical with a work colleague, but it didn’t go anything further than a kiss after he thankfully stopped himself. I felt betrayed and horrified his mind even went there to begin with. But him stopping was a big thing for me. 🥲
I thought I was over it, but it knocked back my confidence and self-esteem more than I realised. I found myself flirting with other men who were taking an interest in me. Which has never happened before. I told my boyfriend as it began to worry me. He blamed himself for it and told me it was a defensive coping mechanism. It was never treated as seriously as it should have been now looking back.
One of the next times I found myself in that situation, along with some alcohol, I lost control and cheated on my boyfriend as well. I don’t want to get into details here. But things escalated a lot further with my own infidelity 🙁
Its just made me feel gross, and absolutely awful for hurting my boyfriend in a more severe way than he hurt me to begin with.
Like him, I confessed, and our relationship is currently on a ‘break’. I’m not sure what is going to happen to us. Because we are both broken right now. 💔
Thanks for reading. Please get in touch if you want to help x
@PeachyTayxox
hi I can relate and have been there. All I can say is that it’s healthy to open up about these issues even after having been in the wrong. My exes understood it most of the time. Good luck and hmu if you want to talk about it. Peace xx
