How do occupational therapists collaborate with other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive care for clients with complex mental health
Hi, everyone, my name is Andrew, and I've been receiving mental health treatment for bipolar disorder from a psychologist and an occupational therapist. I'm curious how these professionals work collaboratively to provide more comprehensive care for individuals like me. I know each professional has expertise and focus, but I wonder how they can work together to support patients like me.
@Andrew90922 They might copy each other in when they write reports, and in some situations there might be team meetings to coordinate. Of course, you could ask them!

Congratulations on your support team! Based on my personal experience and my medical system, the experts will need to evaluate your areas of need, explain results and present your options for treatment or treatment plans. OT happens to be a pervasive area of expertise. So maybe it will be a good idea for you to understand what OT entails and how it can help you. Most of the time helps to change specific physical abilities, but sometimes this area will work very similarly to ABA treatment, which focuses on supporting positive behavior.
