I don’t know what to do

I am going to get an ultrasound to make sure I don’t have any serious health problems. I have to wait days until I can get the ultrasound and then up to 24 hrs to hear anything back from the doctor. I can’t sleep at night and I feel my body tense and in panic mode. I know I need to calm myself down but I am scared of my results and at the same time I want to know because waiting is eating me alive

Aw that's super understandable, health is a matter of importance and ofcourse you're worried there's nothing serious. Valid to feel panicky about the waiting, and results. I truly hope there's nothing serious to consider as well.

Is there anything that you think might help you feel comforted at this time?

It could be anything, from listening to music, or talking to someone you can confide in (could be a 7 cups listener too), I'm glad you're giving a space to your thoughts via this forum currently and reaching out for some support too.

Keeping you in my thoughts. ❤

I think words of comfort and feeling supported even on this platform has already helped. I am having a hard time with moments throughout the day where it hits me like this feeling of panic and fear. That is something I still don’t know how to handle. I am grateful I stumbled upon 7cups cause it’s already made such a difference.

I get that, and it is okay to feel worried, the fear and panic is simply an acknowledgment that you care about your health, and want to get better, it's your mind's way to protect you (in a very twisted kind of way, our brain tells us the worst case scenarios so we can be prepared, this induces anxiety, but in reality is only our brain trying to help us feel ready for anything at all), now something that may help here is to assure yourself that you can breathe through these difficult moments, that these too shall pass quickly, and you'll be able to face headstrong~ whatever's to come your way. Moment by moment, and the thought won't be as overpowering as they are currently. Hang in tight. ❤ I'm really glad to know 7 cups has helped you immensely already. It most definitely is nice to come across comforting words and supporting folks around. ❤ We are here with you!

Thank you for this. I didn’t even notice the comment on my thread and in my moment of sadness I stumbled upon it. A sign of assurance I needed for the night

@passionateBeach9687 That is understandable, that you would feel worried and scared.

Your not alone here.

I think all of us, get worried and scared sometimes, especially while waiting for a medical test and also waiting to here the results.

I hope you hear from the doctor soon.

Hoping for the best, that nothing shows up.

If something should show up, then hoping the doctor can help you.

I hope this helps some.
