Living with Anxiety
Hi guys, My name is Brionna, you can call me Bri. I'm 21 years old, and I attended a University in South Carolina.
So I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety a few years back, and the biggest challenges I've faced were overthinking, and the physical side effects. For example, eye twitching or flutters in my leg. You see, with anxiety, the first thing that goes in my head is I have so life threatening illness. Me knowing that its just anxiety brings me out of a state of panic.
If any of y'all experience side effects of anxiety PLEASE share. It lets me know I'm not alone.

Hello Bri!
I hear you. Anxiety is so tough and can be overwhelming. The physical side effects can be so uncontrollable. In the past, I experienced stuttering and eye twitching when it was at the worst. You are definitely not alone. I feel you will find many like-minded people here. And lots of support and compassion<3
Also, here is the Member Welcome Pack. It provides an introduction to the site so you may feel a bit more familiar. And you can find many resources in here as well. Happy to have you here💛💫
@BrionnaS Hi Bri. You’re not alone. Maybe you do or don’t live in SC but just the environment can contribute to anxiety. Mental health is something that’s not talked about often enough in the right way, but living in the south myself, I know the ‘vibe’ is that no one has problems, “ya just need Jesus!” Often people around you don’t understand how much this affects you.
@BrionnaS Hi, I feel for you SO much. Also, have generalised anxiety disorder diagnosis and it's *** right. I can relate to a lot of what you say. Do you mean you worry about your health a lot? Is there anyone you are working with who's helping you to work on your anxiety? I'm sorry you experience panic attacks so badly :/
Take big care of yourself, Hugs
You're wonderful!

Hi Rachel,
So yes, I worry about my health a lot. like if I have a headache, i'll think I have a tumor in my brain or something. It can be the simplest things that trigger my anxiety. It completely consumes me.
I worry about my health, my family, I overthink. I cant get a break, and it makes me want to scream. I talk my therapist every 2 weeks and take Zoloft(anxiety med.) but honestly, talking with people who truly understands, is the best therapy for me.
Thanks for respnding Rach : )

Hi Brionna,
I’m so glad I found your post. I also experience such overwhelming anxiety and panic when it comes to my physical health. It feels like my brain is drowning in the obsessive “worst case scenario” thoughts. I don’t know what to do to stop them. It really helps to know there’s other people like you who are experiencing the same things and that I’m not alone. Sometimes I feel like I’m going crazy
