Loneliness and conversations with the wrong people
When you don't have much going for you in life, and your lonely all the time, you get kinda desperate. That is what happens to me and often times I find myself talking to whoever will talk back to me, and often times those are not good conversations.
As I write this, I'm also thinking about those busy people that have too many people to talk to. They don't have time to answer all of their emails. It is hard for me to wrap my brain around it. Often times I feel like a loser. Because society doesn't pay attention to me because I'm not dong enough. I don't have a bunch of talents. And I'm not that interested in the things I'm interested in. When you got almost no people in your life, then what is the point of having interests that you can't share with anyone.
@tryingtosurvive2024 it is ok to feel that way, it is normal because of what is going on in your life, you not feeling the right way is because despite the fact that you don't create time for your self and do what makes you happy is a reason for you to feel lonely and thereby increasing low self esteem and insecurities. you just need to look around and restrategize on your goals, what makes you happy, creat time for yourself, and make sure yourlife is influenced by the decisions you your self will make and not any other person or society, living your best life and finding joy in it, is what i suggest you look forward to.
@Abby1199 I got too much time for myself. I work all by myself for 8 hours a night. I come home and I'm by myself. That is why I'm lonely. Any attempt to try and fix this problem has failed me for 22 years.

Expressing your self is a good thing.
It could be that some conversations maybe be good, others bad, but keep trying for the good ones!
What people have said on finding a hobby sounds good. Maybe you don't need a big hobby, maybe it's the small things in life. Maybe you do need a hobby you just haven't found it yet. I don't know.
It sounds like you are on a good path because you are reflecting.
@tryingtosurvive2024 totally get where u are coming from. I hate doing stuff alone, don't enjoy being the 3rd wheel. So I just sit a home.
@MsShellie My problem isn't just sitting at home. My job really burns me out to the point to where I am not good enough to get out during the weekends. But even if I wasn't burned out, I still don't have anywhere to go.
@tryingtosurvive2024 I resonated with so much of what you're saying. I'm afraid of ending up invisible to the world because I'm not enough and I find it really difficult to find quality folks to keep company with where I live.
Totally relatable. I’ve felt like this in different decades of life. Even when I have tons of things going, I still feel lonely. Don’t know if this is helpful but you have to keep finding things that excite you. Sometimes drawing, playing the guitar, joining *** groups can make you find community.
I have different types of friend groups but I’m trying to find people that I can open up more and more too. But totally scared to do that so glad I have community here to write about.
@imtryingMybest21 I don't know what to say.... The thing is, my job burns me out, and I don't know of any groups around here that I could be involved in.
@tryingtosurvive2024 I understand how you are feeling. I'm here because I live alone too and I am sometimes lonely.
In getting what you want, I think the first step is to become clear about what you want.
Do you want a regular chat mate? Then maybe you can post how regularly you want to chat and see if someone can meet your schedule.
If you want to meet your chatmate online (know his or her identity), another app may provide that. Some dating apps have a 'friendship only' option.
Sit down and think about what kind of companionship you want and need. Be well, my friend.May you have peace of mind :)
@breathingin I guess I could write up something asking for chat mate that will talk to me nearly every night. That seems to be what i need at least.
@tryingtosurvive2024
Yes post the time you prefer (including time zone); it's a more specific and reachable goal.
@tryingtosurvive2024 Remember that you are never alone- there are many people out there who feel lonely and most people feel lonely at some point or another. You will be okay and you are stronger inside than you think.
@Lovelight1211 Judging from all the responses my threads have gotten, there are a lot of lonely and friendless people on this site.
@tryingtosurvive2024 Maybe, if so then they are all here together feeling the same emotion so not truly alone. Maybe there is comfort in that thought.
