I've been working on a personal advent calendar to try keep the magic of the season alive.

I used to call it my cozy adventure advent calendar because I liked the palindrome vibes, but it does sound...not very good when I'm talking to people about 'my caac'.

Today had me stumped and was the hardest day yet to figure out what to do though.

The pandemic integrated some weird coping mechanism to eliminate decision fatigue, which for sure seems ridiculous...its the pandemic, what is there to decide between? 🤔, do I go for a walk, eat or sleep?

So this mechanism is just online wheels you can spin to answer yes or no, or to pick meal to eat or in my caac's instance, where to place on which days the items I purchased for it.

But even after doing all that for my CAAC I was stumped. All the old methods weren't adding and I was feeling judgemental about it.

I had some errands to run though so after a mini melt down, calling four helplines and having a cry I was on my way.

Much falalalaflailing around later I found my fourth item in a shot of surety (Which I though only happens to others or in the movies....).

I needed to replace my broken phone charger and finally found one after wading though a thick forest of the shopkeepers Indian accent and my trans-generational triggers.

And this charger turned out to be today's item.

It's pretty random (A charger? Why not some chocolate or something?) so I'll explain.

Another coping tool I adopted and adapted was numerology. IFKYK. And yeah, it's not a perfect science, but tell me a science that is.

Anyway, the charger price, when added up the numerology way, came to the number four.

Boom!

Say less. Day four PAC item found 🦜 I'm like a mystical ✨ pirate. Only without all the pillaging and swashbuckling and illegal stuff like that. Not my style.

Actually what even is swashbuckling

@communicativePond1728 - Very interesting post! AND swashbuckling definition is: engaging in daring and romantic adventures with bravado or flamboyance

Soooooo I haven't been able to finish this on an ideal schedule...long story very short my WiFi went down and has remained down due to unfortunate and unforseen circumstances, but I've tried to keep up with what I can in the meanwhile...

A box of chocolates were one of the days...

Gourmet hot chocolate another...

And a bag of coffee beans, a butterfly clip and a trivet were on other days.

There was also a $30 gift card to the local movie theater (some promotion on where one received a free movie ticket if they purchase that)...and that's about all my blitzed brain is recalling.

Christmas morning I opened some mittens, candles and a face serum that were wrapped up from one of my favourite local stores, and a cotton throw blanket for the couch, another hair claw and some lip SPF balm from another of my favourite local stores.

It was a decent Christmas considering the circumstances and I was grateful to experience it.
