Reaching out to anyone with issues making friends!
Hi, ive noticed many people struggle with maintaining freindships in real life, starting this post so we can share our thoughts and struggles on this topic <3
@Kittyn80 Hey kitty its me! I was finally able to find this on my laptop
@Kittyn80 I don't have any friend outside 7 cups. I didn't have a chance to talk to anyone for the first 18 years. And now I don't leave the carehome. So making friends is kinda impossible. So thank God for this site ❤
Heyy, Hope you are doing good, I really would like to make friends
@Kittyn80 hi! i really suck at making friends irl, i would love to find some online friends! <3
Yeah being an introvert its really difficult to make friends but I will be happy to make online friends : )
I would be happy to feel less lonely 😃

I know I should try and make friends, I only have one. For some reason the effort just does not seem worth what I get out of it, which is ???. I don’t really know what you get out of friendships. Here is a list of some of the benefits I found online.
· Increase your sense of belonging and purpose (I have never felt like I belong, I at best feel like a tolerated outsider)
· Boost your happiness and reduce your stress (My experience is that friends cause stress)
· Improve your self-confidence and self-worth (Not sure about this one)
· Help you cope with traumas, such as divorce, serious illness, job loss or the death of a loved one. (I never get into details about these kinds of things, seems too personal)
· Encourage you to change or avoid unhealthy lifestyle habits, such as excessive drinking or lack of exercise (I drank excessively for 30 years, most of that time I had plenty of friends)
"Increas your sense of belonging and purpose (I have never felt like I belong, I at best feel like a tolerated outsider)"
Wow yeah, I can definitely relate there. Even with family I feel that way. I have tons of relatives but not much family...if any at all really if ya know what I mean. I got tired of feeling tolerated and just left the scene entirely. It's almost like I don't exist. I often feel like I don't exist to them...or that I even should exist...then I hate that I even do and wish I didn't. Tolerated outsider...that's definately me as well. Just loved your whole post but that first part hit me hardest.
@Kittyn80i used to worry alot about making friends but that was a time ago.i feel okay with myself.friends hurt and judge sometimes.

I suffer with autism and ADHD and this is incredibly difficult for me. I get so wrapped up in my own stuff it's not that I mean to neglect other people that matter to me it's just so hard to balance life and home so I have to focus on what is important at that specific time and it may not be anyone else but myself. It is incredibly difficult to manage on my own with the difficulties I have that I'm having to now look for external support to help me with my management of life and care.
@helloComputer2412 how are the problems?do you forget things?I do.

Hey there! Thank you for starting this open discussion on friendship. The intricacies of friendships vary both in real life and virtually. However, the differences must be embraced and the bond be built on a genuine base. The comfort of company is what makes the mark.
My best friend lives in my home contry which is pretty far from where I live now and I find it hard to make new friends because I'm scared I'll get too close and it feels like I'm replacing him which feels really wrong... it's probably why I've only ever had one friend really.
